identify, develop and fund, a full range of human services that meet
critical community needs, with help and advice from Pike County
stakeholders. |

We
allocated $90,000 for the current year and a total of $769,000 since 2000 to
various organizations to support human services programs exclusively in
Pike County. List of Allocations |

Provided
334 volunteers at our Day of Caring in 2009 that helped 14 local
nonprofit and human services agencies for a total of 1,700 hours. Photos |

Collected over 100 usable pints of blood at our 9/11 Blood Drive in 2009 which
helped over 300 patients. |

Our
on-line community services directory, www.PikePaHelp.org, has
helped many people in need find the services that are available to
them. |
|

Our
Community Ramp fund has helped many residents of Pike County with
disabilities get a wheel chair ramp for thier home. |
|

|
The Pike
County Emergency Reserve Fund we established helped many families in
need during floods and other local disasters. |
|

We also
partner with many local businesses and organizations for other programs
such as food and clothing drives. |

| | Saturday, September 11th: Day of Caring and 9/11 Memorial Blood Drive.
Help Your Community - Have Fun - Free Breakfast, Lunch and T-Shirt
Lead
by the Pike United Way, you and other volunteers will work with local
nonprofit agencies for a single day on projects that will help them in
serving Pike County people in need all year long. The day will
begin with a free breakfast held at the Delaware Valley High School at
7:45 am. You will get your work assignment and free T-shirt and then
travel to the site on your own or by school bus. The work day begins at
9:00 am and ends at 3:00 pm. Lunch will be provided at the site. Work
clothes and sturdy shoes are a must.
| | | Thursday, October 21st: Chef's United ** NEW DATE ** Chef's United will be held at Woodloch Pines Resort at 731 Welcome Lake Road in Hawley, PA. Cocktail
hour with appetizers and cash bar at 6pm followed by the Benefit Dinner at 7pm. Chefs from some of the finest
area restaurants and caterers “UNITING” to use their culinary talents
to support the United Way of Pike County. Proceeds are allocated
to Pike County Human Service Agencies who in-turn support our friends
and neighbors in need. To purchase tickets please call Catherine
