Our Mission
To identify, develop and fund, a full range of human services that meet critical community needs, with help and advice from Pike County stakeholders.
 
We Make An Impact in Your Community!

Blue Dot

We allocated $105,000 in 2007 and a total of $589,000 since 2000 to various organizations to support human services programs exclusively in Pike County. Allocations for 2007

Provided 285 volunteers at our Day of Caring in 2007 that helped 21 local nonprofit and human services agencies for a total of 1,700 hours.

Collected almost 90 usable pints of blood at our 9/11 Blood Drive in 2007 which helped over 290 patients.

Our on-line community services directory, www.PikePaHelp.org, has helped many people in need find the services that are available to them. The directory is also used by other agencies to help thier clients. On average, there are over 200 page views of the directory per day.

Our Community Ramp fund has helped many residents of Pike County with disabilities get a wheel chair ramp for thier home.

The Pike County Emergency Reserve Fund we established helped many families in need during the floods in 2005 and 2006.

We also partner with many local businesses and organizations for other programs such as food and clothing drives.

August 16th and 17th: “Wizard of Oz” by the Kathy Jenkins’ Studio

A 1st Annual Joint Fundraising Event for the United Way and Safe Haven. The production of the “Wizard of Oz” by the Kathy Jenkins’ Studio on Saturday, August 16 and 17 at 2pm, $10 for adults and $5 for children (12 and under). Tickets must be purchased in advanced by August 9th. Contact Safe Haven 570-296-2827 or United Way 570-296-9980.
